We at macpkr always lookin for some apple news arround, so thats why we asked to pokerstars: Will there be a ipad in your storé’s soon?

Pokerstars respond:

Our vendor does not have the iPad in stock yet as only the Apple
Stores have them. We will most likely offer them at the VIP store as
soon as our vendor receives enough stock of them.

As for the iPhones, we are not planning to add them at the VIP store
as there are companies in the US that are offering them as part of
their telephone plan, and we cannot compete with those prices.

Good news: In the first few days since the release for the i-pad there are 300.000 time sold.  But the bad news we found nobody who was able to play poker on the ipad. There are 2 reason why thats not possible now.

1. You have to download a app with the app store and none are av. now. 2. The ipad STILL does not support flash.

We asked arround the answers were simple. No there will not be a special ipad clientfor any major poker room. Full-tilt official statement:

Unfortunately Full Tilt Poker is not designed for any mobile platforms at the moment, and the executable and program files should not be run in this particular operating system as, even though the iPad may run a slightly different OSX version, it may be enough to cause substantial problems.

Their processing power are typically under specifications, and their wireless capabilities are significantly weaker in signal strength than industry standard wifi devices (802.11b, g, and n) found in laptops and desktops.

I’m sorry we haven’t been able to provide you with a “pocket Full Tilt Poker” version of the software at this time.
